This plugin is current on haitus. It's being maintained (somewhat lazily) by me under a different name: Now Reading Reloaded (and the accompanying blog post).

The issue you describe is fixed in the latest development version, and should see the light of day quite soon.

I'm also having trouble with Batch Categories on WP 2.8.

When I do an action (like apply a tag to a set of posts), it redirects me to a page that doesn't exist.

Just trying to find out if anybody else has had problems with the Now Reading pluging calculating the number of books per month. Mine was working and don’t know when it stopped, but it now shows an average of “0 books each month” instead of the actual number. It looks like this might be a problem on a number of sites, as a query on Google for “that’s an average of 0 books each month” comes up with quite a few hits:

I’d post this to Now Reading directly if possible, but it seems like there is no way to do that. Is this plugin even being actively developed any more?

Any chance you’ll be updating the Batch Categories plug-in to work with WordPress 2.7? I’ve come to rely on your plugin for cleaning up old tags and categories on my site, and it no longer works as of WP2.7.

Nikki: that error means your version of PHP is too old to work with the latest version. You have to use 4.4.1 (available on the Now Reading page)

For Now Reading (I’m not sure how to add a comment on that page…where is the form?) anyway I always get this error message “Fatal error: Call to undefined function: simplexml_load_string() in /home/content/n/i/k/niknok/html/wp-content/plugins/now-reading/amazon.php on line 105″ — what is it? How can I fix this? All I did was activate the plug-in and it seemed OK…then I went to Write -> Now Reading, tried to search for a book but I got that error message.

Hi Rob, first of all thanks for the good work you’ve done with the Batch Categories Plugin. But i have a strange behaviour: All my posts don’t have a category because i’m migrating from joomla to wordpress. And when i try to use your plugin it shows me nothing. I’m using wp 2.6.1 now. Sorry for posting here but the forum seems to be dead and the comment section on the plugin is closed.

It seems strange to call the license "CC-GNU GPL", for clarity it should just be referred to as the GNU GPL.

Creative Commons is providing a "deed" that represents the GPL for understandability. I had not seen this before, this is great!
