And, as is often the case in the WordPress community, I think I have already found it! The background here is that this semester we here at DTLT have begun encouraging students in certain classes to use WordPress.com, or some other free multi-user blogging solution, to set up and maintain their own blog for classes. The downside of this experiment has been finding the right tool for WordPress to aggregate this diaspora of student blog posts into a more centralized course blog that will cleanly and effectively showcase the latest content from the students. I worked initially with Rob Miller’s aggregate plugin, which is a nice tool for getting rss feeds into posts, but the display possibilities are limited and it did not work so well for me in static pages and in the sidebar. Finding a tool that can do all of these things while giving you flexibility with the look and feel of the incoming content would be next to impossible, or so I thought. [...]

Corrected, my problem, one rule in my firewall block the connection for apache in localhost on port 80 :D.

The plugin works perfect but i have a small problem, characters: í,ì,è,é,à,á,ó,ò,ú,ù,ñ,!,¡,etc. displays at-> "?"

I downloaded and activated the plugin, i have wordpress 2.0.5, i put the next code in a page an a post fort test it:

Nothing appears, only a small space in blank, is the plugin compatible with the new wordpress?

and add "target = 'new'" like this

I was just wondering if there way a way to get the links to open in a new window, I tried setting just target=new but that just makes the RSS feed dissapear.

Any help would be appreciated.

Lise, I try it on my page and RSS works. See the bottom of that page. It will stay there about a week. If you want it will stay longer. Rob, I'm glad to help ;). It would be good if you add and iconv functionality for RSS seed, that have different encoding. Regards, Emu

I put the code in Emu as you suggested an nothing... there is nothing displayed... this is what I find weird!

Perhaps I am using the wrong RSS feed?

@Lise, you forgot the '=' character after url and that code must begin with "" ;). Yor code must look like this:

@Rob, you have a little bug. In line 36 you have missed one quote just after the href anchor attribute. Line 36 must look like this: $feed_contents .= '
