In WordPress 2.2, the preview pane—the frame at the bottom of the edit screen showing a preview of your edits—was removed, in favour of a preview link.
Some people like the new behaviour, some prefer the old. For the latter, there is this plugin which returns the preview frame. Enjoy.
Preview Frame is compatible with WordPress 2.5+.
If you’re running a version of WordPress less than 2.5, you’ll need to use Preview Frame 1.2 instead:
preview-frame directory to your
wp-content/plugins directory, then activate it in the admin panel. That’s it: post previews will immediately start displaying when you edit posts.
- Preview pages too, silly me for leaving that out.
- Hijack the preview link to point to our preview.
- Nomenclature fix: “page” on pages, “post” on posts.
